Itinerary
Verification of specialized Humla border permits and group planning.
Domestic flight down to the southwest border city base.
Mountain flight to Simikot (2,910m), meeting your trek crew.
Begin walking along the roaring Karnali River trails to Dharapuri.
Walk past high waterfalls and pine woodlands to the hot springs village of Kermi.
Ascend paths past fields to explore the large Namkha Khyung Dzong monastery.
Follow the canyon trails alongside the river to the stone village of Muchu.
Ascend past the treeline into the barren, wind-swept high country pastures of Yari.
Cross the high pass overlooking Tibet, dropping down into the border outpost of Hilsa.
Divert into the Limi wilderness loop trail, tracking rugged cliff tracks.
Enter the Limi Valley floor at the medieval stone village of Til.
Walk to Halji village to tour Rinchen Ling Gompa, an active center of culture.
Complete the upper valley trek walking to Jang, the third walled outpost.
Leave the valley floor behind, ascending high to prepare for pass crossings.
Cross the high pass featuring views of Mount Kailash, descending to Salli River.
Complete the mountain trek looping back into Simikot town for a celebration dinner.
Fly out of the mountains back to Kathmandu, transferring to the international terminal.
