Our Environmental Commitment
The mountains are not just our workplace — they are our inspiration, our cathedral, and our responsibility. Himalayan Explore Line is committed to sustainable expedition practices that minimize our environmental impact and actively contribute to mountain conservation.
Leave No Trace
Every expedition team carries out all waste generated during the climb, including human waste at high camps. We conduct base camp and trail cleanups on every expedition, often collecting waste left by other teams.
Carbon Offset Programme
We offset 150% of the carbon emissions from every expedition, including international flights, through verified reforestation projects in the Himalayan region.
Local Sourcing
We prioritize locally sourced food, equipment, and services wherever possible, reducing transportation emissions while supporting local economies.
Conservation Partnerships
We actively partner with the Sagarmatha National Park authority, the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, and local conservation groups to fund trail maintenance and wildlife protection.
Education
Every client receives environmental briefings before and during the expedition, including waste management protocols, wildlife protection guidelines, and cultural sensitivity training.
