An exceptional alternative to EBC, this trek enters the Gokyo Valley to explore six alpine lakes and climb Gokyo Ri for arguably the most complete panoramic view of the Everest range.

Itinerary
Pick up from airport, check-in to your hotel, and final trip brief.
Morning flight over hills to Lukla, then walk downhill to Phakding.
Climb high above the river banks up into the mountain gateway of Namche.
Rest day with short acclimatization strolls to look at views of Ama Dablam.
Leave the standard EBC track at Sanasa, climbing high over Mong La pass down into Dole.
Scenic alpine valley walk alongside summer pasture settlements to Machhermo.
Climb past terminal moraines to enter the valley of the spectacular turquoise lakes.
Climb Gokyo Ri peak (5,357m) early for unmatched views of the Everest Massif.
Retrace your path back along the valley floors down through Machhermo to Dole.
Descend through sub-alpine hillside shrubbery back to the major hub of Namche.
Final long operational trek day back along the Dudh Koshi river valleys to Lukla.
Fly back to Kathmandu and pick up airport transfers for your final international journey.
