Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our expeditions, bookings, and services.

Bookings & Payments

Start by submitting an enquiry through our website or contacting us directly. Our team will arrange a free consultation call to discuss your goals, experience, and preferred dates. Once we agree on a plan, we'll send a formal proposal and booking agreement.
A 30% deposit is required to secure your place. The remaining balance is due 90 days before the expedition start date. We accept bank transfer, credit card, and PayPal.
Cancellations more than 120 days before departure receive a full refund minus a £500 admin fee. Between 60-120 days, 50% refund. Less than 60 days, no refund. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.

Expeditions & Safety

Our overall summit success rate is 94%, significantly above the industry average. This is achieved through careful team selection, thorough preparation, expert guides, and conservative decision-making.
On 8000m expeditions, we maintain a minimum 1:1 Sherpa-to-client ratio. For trekking and lower peaks, the ratio is typically 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the route difficulty.
All 8000m expeditions have an expedition physician. We carry Gamow bags, supplemental oxygen, and satellite communication at all camps. Helicopter evacuation is pre-arranged and can be deployed within hours.

Preparation

This depends on your chosen expedition. For trekking, moderate fitness is sufficient. For 8000m peaks, you need excellent cardiovascular fitness developed over 6+ months of specific training. We provide detailed fitness guidelines for every expedition.
We provide a comprehensive gear list upon booking. Base camp and high camp group equipment is provided. You'll need personal climbing gear, clothing, and boots. We can advise on equipment purchases and rentals.
