Langtang and Ruby Valley trek

Located in Nepal’s Central Himalaya, the Langtang Valley Trek and Ruby Valley Trek are two amazing trekking routes that offer hikers a variety of experiences in terms of scenery, culture, and the trekking environment. The Langtang Valley Trek is one of the closest treks from Kathmandu and is located in the Rasuwa region of Langtang National Park, which borders the Tibetan plateau. It is replete with breathtaking glacier valleys and alpine landscapes with a strong Tamang Buddhist tradition. With the option to ascend neighboring summits like Tserko Ri for sweeping vistas of the whole Langtang range, the trail leads to Kyanjin Gompa. The region was extensively rebuilt and reconstructed following the 2015 earthquake, and it is now once again accessible to hikers with first-rate facilities and friendly locals.

In contrast, the Ruby Valley Trek is a less-traveled and poorly defined path that passes across portions of the Dhading and Rasuwa districts and connects the Langtang and Manaslu regions. With pristine vistas of the Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Manaslu ranges, this is an immersion into an off-the-beaten-path trip through far-off villages and verdant forests along picturesque hills. The Gurung, Tamang, and Dalit populations may be found along the trail, which is still highly culturally varied. The majority of lodgings are basic homestays, which foster a close relationship with the local way of life. Ruby Valley is renowned for its cultural values and the breathtaking natural beauty of the Himalayan foothills, while Langtang offers a breathtaking perspective of alpine terrain.
