Everest Base Camp (EBC) at 5,364 meters is the mythic start of Mount Everest ascents. Trekkers enjoy having finally arrived at this mythic site, surrounded by the Khumbu Icefall, Himalayan giants, and towering glaciers. The actual summit of Everest cannot be seen from EBC, but the incredible atmosphere and sheer thrill of standing at the base of the world’s highest mountain make this an experience worth having.
